IMPLEMENTING A TREATMENT PLAN

INCORPORATING YOUR TREATMENT PLAN INTO YOUR LIFESTYLE SHOULD BE SEAMLESS

WHETHER YOU WORKOUT, OR JUST LEAD AN ACTIVE LIFESTYLE, ADDING A TREATMENT PLAN TO ADDRESS NAGGING PAIN, MUSCLE IMBALANCE, DYSFUNCTION, OR CHRONIC INJURY CAN BE PARAMOUNT TO PROTECTING YOUR INTEGRITY OF MOVEMENT AND QUALITY OF LIFE AS YOU AGE.


  • FIND A SCHEDULE FOR FOLLOWING YOUR TREATMENT PLAN THAT ALLOWS YOU TO BE CONSISTENT. 
    • DECIDE WHETHER YOU'D PREFER TO DO THE EXERCISES BEFORE/AFTER YOUR WORKOUT.
    • CHOOSE A TIME OF DAY THAT SUITS YOU BEST.
    • CHOOSE DAYS OF THE WEEK YOU CAN STICK WITH.
    • CHOOSE DAYS YOUR SCHEDULE IS FREER TO PERFORM YOUR ASSESSMENTS AND REASSESSMENTS.
  • DO NOT ALLOW YOUR EGO TO IMPEDE YOUR PROGRESS. 
    • AS I MENTIONED IN WEEK 4,  YOU CAN EXPECT TO EXPERIENCE SOME NEGATIVE EMOTION AND PHYSICAL DISCOMFORT. IT'S EASY TO GET BOGGED DOWN BY FEELING BAD AND SEEK TO BOOST YOUR EGO BY PROGRESSING PREMATURELY (REWARD-SEEKING BEHAVIOR). IF YOU PREMATURELY PROGRESS, YOUR TREATMENT PLAN WILL NOT BE SUSTAINABLE.
  • MAKE SURE YOU HAVE THE EQUIPMENT NECESSARY TO PERFORM THE EXERCISES.
    • IF THERE'S ONE THING I'VE LEARNED FROM YEARS OF PERSONAL TRAINING IT'S THAT RESISTANCE BANDS ARE AN UNDERRATED INVESTMENT. NOT ONLY ARE THEY A GREAT ADDITION FOR ACCESSORY WORK ON TOP OF YOUR NORMAL ROUTINE, THEY ARE INEXPENSIVE, EASILY TRANSPORTABLE,  AND ARE INVALUABLE TO MOST TREATMENT PLANS.

USING THE VIDEOS YOU TOOK WHEN YOUR STARTED PHASE II AS A REFERENCE, RE-FILM THOSE SAME MOVEMENTS FROM THE SAME ANGLE AND COMPARE. WATCH MY INSTRUCTION VIDEO FOR ASSESSING AND INTERPRETING THE BASIC MOVEMENTS.
